I have a passion for produce and for creating delicious plant-based meals inspired by the ingredients and preparations I’ve discovered while traveling and eating. When asked for the recipe for something I’ve made, I usually respond with, “I don’t have one. I never make the same thing twice.” And this is mostly true. I am always experimenting and tinkering with food. For me, recipes are sources of inspiration. They spark creativity in the kitchen. I don’t follow them like blueprints for the re-creation of a particular dish. However, I’ve come to a point where I have enjoyed certain food creations so much that I want to remember them and share them with others. That was the genesis of Vegophilia: a place to share my somewhat “atypical” love of produce. The title is also a nod to my academic interest in sexuality, but that’s a story for another blog.
